Dr. Ilana Stroke has seventeen years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including fifteen years at Pharmacopeia, Inc., in cell-based and biochemical assay development, high/ ultra-high throughput screening, and lead optimization for G protein-coupled receptor, protein kinase and phosphatase, protease, cell adhesion molecule, DNA polymerase, ion channel, and transporter targets. In this capacity, she interacted directly with scientists in collaborating laboratories at pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies such as Altana, AstraZeneca, BASF, Berlex, Biovitrum, Daiichi, Neurocrine Biosciences, Novartis, Organon/Schering Plough, Pharmacia and Upjohn, and Progenics, for assay development, automation, and screening. She completed forty collaborative projects and was the recipient of eleven project-based Accomplishment Awards from Pharmacopeia. At Venenum Biodesign, she is currently leading several high throughput screening campaigns for antimicrobial drug discovery.
